In 2003 Częstochowa Municipality, Industry Development Agency in Warsaw and Huta Częstochowa Co. /steelworks/ signed an agreement on establishing the Częstochowa Industrial Park on premises vacated by the Steelworks and grounds being property of the Municipality.
Establishing of the Park was inseparably connected with restructuring of Steelworks which was not finished at that time.
For that reason it was not possible to join the Industrial Park to the agreed appointed premises until Steelworks was sold and its restructuring finished.
In April 2005 the President decided to set up Częstochowa Industrial Park– I stage. The Park covered a ground at Legionów street belonging to the Municipality and building of the Regional Development Agency at 117/121 Wały Dwernickiego (previous Polnam’s building). In May 2005 a petition was filed at Industry Development Agency in Warsaw: „Building of infrastructure for enterprise development within the Częstochowa Industrial Park” within “Improvement of the Competitiveness of Enterprises” Operational Programme– within the Objective 1.3. framework and on 8th September 2005 an agreement was signed for co-financing of the Project by the European Regional Development Fund.
